serious question, not trying to start a fight. can you actually get banned for using cheats in Siege? i see people say yes, people say bans are rare, and i can’t tell what’s real

yes. there is risk, always. siege uses BattlEye and Ubisoft also does ban waves. anyone telling you zero risk is selling something

that’s the honest answer i was looking for lol

risk also depends on how you play. someone obviously cheating with crazy snaps gets reported way faster than someone just using info. reports plus replay review is a thing

yeah but i wouldn’t count on that as a safety plan lol

not saying it’s a plan, just saying behavior matters for reports

there are also two kinds people mix up. account bans and hardware bans. account ban you lose that account. hardware ban can follow your pc to new accounts, which matters more now that the game is free to play and making a new account is easy

wait so a new account doesn’t fix a hardware ban?

that’s the idea, yes. that’s why HWID spoofers exist as a thing. different tool for a different problem

Quick clarification. A spoofer changes hardware identifiers, it does not bring a banned account back. We also tell everyone that status on a product page is current only and not permanent, so there is always some risk. Check live status before launch. See the HWID spoofer page for scope.

ok that’s actually clear now. account ban vs hardware ban, and no guarantees. thanks everyone
